Ok, so I'm working on a bento box for my lunch it's gonna be kawaii as hell :P On a second note I'm kind of at ends with the winter, even though it wasn't all that cold today (like in the 50s) or cold here at all compared to the rest of the country. So I fought winter be sunbathing nude a bit outside today despite being slightly uncomfortable. Needless to say I had to come indoors after like 20 minutes...but it was well worth it :)

Hey on a more specific note I came across this article while doing research on Vermont for a school project and while I knew it was known to be a quite progressive state I had never heard of this story. I posted it to another group and was told it's old news but I can't imagine a bunch of teens just stripping down for the statement 'round these parts!
So I leave you with Renoir. I always Imagined his paintings were like a reflection of a perfect world where everything shines in a golden light :)
Friday night, wooo! I'm sitting here drying my hair as I type this in anticipation of going to see my bestie's boyfriends band play a show tonight. She'll be picking me up in like 30 minutes in her sweet new honda accord, lol.
I'm also going to California this weekend to see my grandma. Unfortunately it's kinda cool down there as well so I wont be California Dreaming on such a winters day this trip. But I shouldn't be talking I think Washington is relatively mild while the rest of the world has become a frozen wasteland out of nowhere. Even people in France and the UK are freezing their butts off. Remember kids, global warming means extreme weather of ALL kinds.

|10:52 pm - A little inchoherent rant|
Well now I'm having a mid-life crisis while still in high school. I've analyzed my life and realize I need to set goals. Usually such goal setting feelings arise at midterms but this has nothing to do with school at all. In fact, I am quite amazed by the number of young bloggers who have already lead extremely productive lives. Basically what, I'm trying to say is I've been allured by prodigy children like ahem *Tavi* who would generally fill me with jealousy but manage to win me over with their advanced writing levels and barbed wit. Further more she is into FASHION (yes I can have interest in the textile world) so I am stuck wasting an hour and a half going through 2 years of blogs and the progression of tastes that bring me back to my new question: Should I start an interest-specific Blog (y/n)

|03:33 am - Quinoa|
So, I turned my family on today to the magic of Quinoa, food of the gods, and strangely enough they all enjoyed it. Don't be so impressed though boiling things is really the extent of my cooking experience along with toasting and pouring milk on things.

2010 Wooo! Getcha freak on! ( do we call it two thousand-ten or twenty-ten?)
Actually I didn't get to spend this New Year naked as I was with friends and family but considering the full moon that night the irony might have been just too much. Anyway I am already getting nostalgic for the 00s and considering I don't have school or anything to keep me busy I'm making a I love the 00s mixtape. It's basically a "best of" in my opinion and I'll just suffice to say it features a lot of Shins.

I did not write this but is from a fellow friend's Xanga:
Vegetarianism is a Teen Eating Disorder Now!
Some health news seem informative and interesting, but I think that things are just a little out of hand.
New studies and research are pointing towards believing that vegetarianism is a new teen eating disorder-fad. They say that teens are more concerned with losing weight than saving animals.
The studies show that, even though many teens claim to be pro-life for animals, they continue to eat chicken (about 1 in 4 teens) and even more continue to eat fish (about 56%). Along with that, 20% of teen vegetarians are said to be binge eaters, compared to the 5% of teen who eat meat.
This is from a felllow friend's xanga (not written by me). I am proud to announce that I am not a statistic as I DO care about animals and am practically vegetarian and I don't binge.
Okay. I guess these statistics would convince some of this claim. But not me. Although no longer a teen (but not far removed, as I'm only 22), I do seem to practice the no-four legged creatures rule that these teens follow. On occasion I'll eat a hamburger, but other than that, I tend to stay away from cow, lamb, pig, deer, or other hoofed animals. But does that mean that I'm binging, or a fake vegetarian? Definitely not. I would definitely not say that I have an eating disorder.
I wonder why it can't just be what it is, instead of doctors and scientists making it into a huge thing. Teens across the globe struggle with weight, and often try and find ways to mask their struggle. If a teen decides to go "vegetarian," shouldn't we just let them be? I don't see such a danger in binging on health foods, when it could have easily been the other way around.
I think we're a little too critical of eating habits. If you eat fast food more than once a week, you don't care about your health; if you skip a meal, you're anorexic; if you only eat chicken and fish, you have an eating disorder. I think people need to back off just a little bit.
How do you feel about the research pointing fingers at teens with eating disorders? Do you think that people are too sensitive about nutrition and healthy eating?

Girls are like
apples on trees. The best
ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they
just get the rotten apples from the ground
that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples
at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right
boy to come along, the one
who's brave enough
all the way
to the top
of the tree.
